Black Rose Neocaridina Shrimp, 10+

Neocaridina Shrimp

Neocaridina davidii

This is a very interesting, new line of neocaridina shrimp I have obtained. They have a stunning solid black carapace making for a gorgeous piece of any aquarium. The thing about them is they have not been line bred as long as some other colors, so they still throw some other colors (red, blue, clear, etc). I love this line because even as they age their color can get darker still.

All the color variants of the cherry shrimp are very hardy. They will live in a broad range of water parameters. They do require a moderate amount of hardness in their water, though.

The different color variants of cherry shrimp (all of the Neocaridina genus) can and will interbreed with each other giving unpredictable results. I've found it best to keep them in their own tanks. They will live very peaceably with other fish, so long as they cannot fit them in their mouth (like fry) and vice-versa.
