Live Hygrophillia polysperma

Hygrophila polysperma Is a fantastic beginner or easy plant resembling (and easy to confuse with) many types of Ludwigia. It grows fast and tall, with long pointed light green leaves. In bright light the leaves can become pink or crimson. It grows from the tips of the stem and from buds that fork from the main stem. Stems may be trimmed and replanted to propagate.

It is a fast-growing plant.It is best used as a background plant and will require frequent trimming. The fast growth does well in reducing nitrates, and adding structure and beauty to the aquarium.

*Note on pests*: I remove bladder snails and duckweed any time I see them in my fish room. They should not be present on any plants I ship (or own). But be it weeks or months between sightings, like a bad case of herpes they seem to show up unexpectedly. I recommend you rinse and inspect any plants (including these) before placing in your tank as an extra preventative measure.
