Black Carbon Rili Shrimp

If you’re looking for a striped shrimp, but aren’t ready to make the leap to Caridina shrimp, then rili shrimp are the ones for you! They are easy keepers with vibrant bands of color. Our Black Carbon Rilis are black and white, a wonderful alternative for Black Crystal shrimp for beginners. Like our other Neocaridina shrimp, they are housed with almond leaves, sponge filter, and a fine substrate. This species is very beginner friendly and easy to breed. These are the same species as Cherry Red, Gold Back, Blue Velvet, and many other Neocaridina davidi color morphs, and will interbreed with any other shrimp of this species. The resulting colors will be a range, so if you want a consistently colored shrimp, keep the color you want together in your breeding tanks.
