Blue Velvet Shrimp

Neocaridina davidi "Blue Velvet"

The blue coloration in this shrimp comes from being mildly translucent which gives them a glowing blue coloration. Similar to the Blue Dream Shrimp, the Blue Velvet Shrimp is a good shrimp for those starting to play with shrimp in their aquarium. Our shrimp are housed with almond leaves, sponge filter and a fine substrate. These are the same species as Cherry Red Shrimp and will interbreed with any other shrimp of the same species. The resulting colors will be a range, so if you want a blue shrimp, keep the color you want together in your breeding tanks.
