16 fluid ounces (473ml) of concentrated Guillard’s F/2 growth media

Based on the formula by published by Guillard and Ryther in 1962 this concentrate is ideal for culturing Marine Phytoplankton and Greenwater.

The concentration of the original formulation, termed "f Medium" is halved, hence “f/2 medium”.

altered to not contain Silicates, alga to be grown should not require silica (not for Diatom cultures).

add concentrate to pure (or fresh mixed) seawater at 1ml per L to create the growth medium for growing marine algae.

a 16 oz bottle can create 125 gallons of growth medium.

Also works very well as a fertilizer for growing freshwater greenwater – dose at same concentration (1ml per L) to pure water.
